Cedar House is a 24-hour staffed accommodation service for young women (aged 16-25 years). We primarily accept referrals from the Nottinghamshire boroughs of Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe.
Cedar House is a 10-bedroomed residential training centre with plenty of communal space. We offer a volunteer-befriending service to our residents as well as a range of daytime and evening activities.
Integral to the service is provision of training and education to help our residents plan for the day when they can move on from Cedar House into suitable accommodation of their own.
If you would like to make a referral, please contact us and we will arrange an interview.
Our basic referral criteria are:
Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to accommodate women with children.
We work without discrimination with those of any faith and those with no faith.
Our vision is to provide vulnerable people an exit out of circumstances that might lead them towards or keep them trapped in homelessness.
We aim to help each person we support to surround themselves with community - relationships, support services and social networks that lead to the kind of healthy interdependence that most people take for granted.
We believe that this is the best way to overcome the risk of homelessness for good.
